PCHIEF's Presiding Prelate,
Apostle Chaun L. Johnson, PhD

"There is no excuse for failure in life." "Don't just survive, SUCCEED!" These are some of the famous words of Pentecostal Church of Holiness’ pastor, Apostle Chaun L. Johnson. To Apostle Chaun, the previously mentioned quotes are more than just merely motivational statements; they are his personal philosophy that he has carried throughout his life. Before his birth, Chaun's mother, the Late Evangelist Dr. Carolyn L. Johnson and father, Elder Henry J. Johnson, Jr., dedicated his life to the ministry work of the church. As his mother had done with his two older brothers Christopher and Henry, she prayed and promised God that her youngest child would also grow up and serve God and His people.

Continuing in the traditions of his two older brothers, while he was yet in elementary school, Chaun began what has turned into a 20-year musical career. He has appeared with noted artist such as Kirk Franklin, Yolanda Adams, Richard Smallwood, Donald Lawrence, Kurt Carr, James Hall, and others. He is also a composer for various well-known artists. However, the largest endeavor he undertook upon the completion of high school years was the founding of The Exodus Project, Inc. His vision through The Exodus Project were to keep youth off the street, out of gangs and off drugs, and to teach young people to be independent, through classes, projects, and regularly scheduled field trips around the city of Chicago and beyond. Chaun and his Exodus Project won many awards and received recognition from former United States Senator from Illinois and Ambassador to New Zealand Carol Moseley-Braun and Former Vice-President Albert Gore. In Chaun's life, The Exodus Project was where he developed his professional skills and began his ministry.

While attending Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois, Chaun, now a minister became a certified teen drug and alcohol counselor, a FCC licensed disc jockey, a licensed minister under the Full Gospel Holiness Mission Churches and the Southern Illinois Jurisdiction of the Church of God in Christ, and a member of the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators. Since beginning his ministry, he has been an evangelist and revivalist in various denominations- from Catholic to Pentecostal, gospel choir workshop facilitator at universities and churches across the United States, Hospitality President, Sunday School Superintendent, and Children's Choir President.

After receiving his Bachelor of Science in degree from Bradley University, Minister Chaun's older brother, Pastor Christopher Johnson, received his calling to pastor his own church. After his brother received his calling, he informed Minister Chaun and asked him to be his Assistant Pastor of the newly founded Pentecostal Tabernacle Bible Church. He accepted the position with these words: "As long as you follow Christ, I will follow you." Elder Chaun took on new spiritual endeavors; he also took on new career endeavors as well. Following in the exact footsteps of both of his parents, he became a school teacher and received his Master’s Degree in Inner City Studies Education from Northeastern Illinois University.

Since then He has served in education as elementary, secondary, and post-secondary school teacher, a Dean of Students, Social Science Department Chairperson, Elementary School principal, and now is a Senior Principal for Ombudsman Chicago High Schools. He is the author of pastoral help books. His premier publication is Sermons 4 Unorganized Preachers: Help it's an Emergency! Elder Chaun completed his Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Concordia University Chicago and Doctoral Degree in Ministry from Midwest Apostolic Bible College, where he earned an additional Bachelor of Arts Degree in Christian Ministries. He is currently attending Concordia University Chicago again to receive his Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership with the Illinois Superintendent's endorsement.

In September 2009, under the auspices and leadership of Dr. Christopher L. Johnson, Elder Chaun was chosen to pastor the Pentecostal Tabernacle Bible Church. In 2010, Pastor Chaun established Pentecostal Tabernacle Bible Church South as its present location. In 2011, Pastor Chaun -5- heeded the voice of God and changed the name of the south location to PENTECOSTAL CHURCH OF HOLINESS, where in 2014 he was consecrated Jurisdictional Bishop in the Love Fellowship International Churches. By the leading of the Holy Spirit and the guidance of the Late Bishop BJ Williams (FGHMC), Bishop Christopher Johnson (NTAC), the late Bishops Reese Price, D. Rayford Bell, and Bishop JE Moore (PCAF), Apostle Willie Cleveland, Bishop HE Bellinger (CCFM), Archbishop DE Chase(ICOB), and Apostle FW Cullins (KCIFM), Bishop Chaun Johnson heeded the calling to inaugurate the Pentecostal Churches of Holiness International Ecclesiastical Fellowship, a non-denomination Fellowship of Churches and Ministries in 2012.

God continues to grant Apostle Chaun favor with men. He is a member of the Bradley University Advisory Council for Student Leadership and Public Service, Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, and the National Association of Secondary School Principals. He is an Executive Board Member of FAITH, Inc. He was awarded membership with Cambridge's Who Registry of Executives, Professionals, and Entrepreneurs. He is a member of the international College of Bishops and is a member of the chancellery for Metropolitan Christian University Above all, Apostle Chaun is saved, sanctified, and filled with the precious gift of the Holy Ghost. As an example of a man of integrity, Apostle Chaun "practices what he preaches “in terms of being successful for God. Surmounting his many accomplishments was joining his wife, Natalie in Holy Matrimony. He is a proud Uncle Dad of Gena and Jordan. His most sincere desire is to serve, minister, and motivate God's people to be their absolute best in their Christian walk and in life, as he himself walks humbly before God.
